Enterprise Seychelles Agency has started a school holiday program to teach children of Primary 5 and Primary 6 at the Anse Etoile Primary School to learn basic sewing. The aim of the basic sewing course will help the students to build self-confidence in their skills, as the students will be introduced to sewing machine on a one-to-one session, strictly under supervision. This course will help to gear more students towards the tailoring and fashion industry in the future. The training which started on Monday 17th August 2020 will be held for three days at the Anse Etoile Primary School itself. The students will receive a certificate at the end of the training.
Enterprise Seychelles Agency is mandated under its Act to provide training in order to support and build on the skills and opportunities that will facilitate the start-up of enterprises and the school holidays is the most appropriate time to keep the students busy. Due to the public health measures in place, the training is catering for 7 students and they are accompanied by the facilitator, Mrs. Brenda Lepathy, two Teachers and one parent.
