ESA Hands Over Kiosks to Street Vendors

On Friday 18th December, 2020, the Enterprise Seychelles Agency conducted a ceremony to hand-over the newly built kiosks on Ex-Children’s Playground to a first group of 15 Street Vendors. These street vendors had been promised a space of operation for several years now and Enterprise Seychelles Agency has kept that promise to assist them, as the mandate of ESA is to support entrepreneurs no matter what sector they are in.

The Chief Executive of ESA urged the street vendors to maintain the kiosks in a good standard and hygiene and also to join together to conduct activities so as to attract clients. Whilst ESA will continue its work to upgrade the site by providing proper facilities for toilet, seating area, lighting and security services. The street vendors had the opportunity to pick their keys to their new kiosk and Mrs. Therese Pillay delivered a small thank you message on behalf of the group of Street Vendors.

The ceremony was attended by the MNA for Mont Fleuri district, the Board Members of ESA, the Principal Secretary and staffs of the Entrepreneurship and Industry Department and staffs of ESA.
