Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA), The Guy Morel Institute (TGMI) and the Seychelles Conservation & Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT) Fund partnered together to deliver a training program for potential applicants of the Blue Grants Fund. The two-day training was held at TGMI at Ma Joie on Tuesday 30th April, 2019 and Thursday 2nd May, 2019. The program had the following objectives:

  1. To create more awareness of the trust fund and its available opportunities and products to entrepreneurs and the general public;
  2. To provide capacity building sessions to potential applicants to enable them to write project concepts and project proposal in line with SeyCCAT objectives.
  3. To provide mentorship services to support the beneficiaries of the fund so as to maximize the success rates of the projects.

During the two days, the Chief Executive of ESA, Ms. Angelic Appoo delivered two presentations, one highlighting the Business Opportunities in Blue Economy and the second one on the various services and support that ESA offers. The participants were encouraged to come to ESA’s Head Office at Camion Hall for any assistance that they may need after this training.

The training attracted a very good crowd of 37 participants. At the end of the program, ESA, TGMI and SeyCCAT were content that the objectives were satisfactorily achieved.
