ESA and CMAR renews partnership agreement to boost economic development in the artisanal sector

Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA) has signed an agreement with Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat Réunion with the aim of renewing the partnership between CMAR and ESA, to join their efforts in the perspective of the development of the artisanal sector.

Under this agreement, Seychelles and Reunion will work towards further training, technical expertise and exchanges between the two countries to boost the development of artisanal businesses.

The signing ceremony which took place at the Seychelles Bureau of Standards meeting room at Providence on Thursday 20th October 2022 was attended by a delegation from CMAR, headed by its President, Mr. Bernard Picardo, a team from ESA, headed by its CEO, Ms. Angelic Appoo and representatives from the National Arts and Crafts Council Of Seychelles and the French Embassy in Seychelles. Two young entrepreneurs who had benefitted with training in La Reunion in 2019 under the former agreement was also present to share their experience with the audience and the media.
