ESA Attends the Intra-African Export/Import Management Capacity Building Program

Two representatives of the Enterprise Seychelles Agency attended the Intra-African Export/Import Management Capacity Program which was held in Cairo, Egypt from the 21st to 26th November 2021. The program was organized by Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) in collaboration with the International Business Driving License (IBDL) Foundation.

The aim of the capacity building program was to boost Intra-African trade which can accelerate economic growth in the continent. The training outlined several topics and discussions on strategic thinking and African Economic Outlook, trade negotiations, entry requirements to African markets, developing export marketing plans, as well as financing and risk management. The participants also learned the various online tools to use to get information on the different countries’ trading possibilities, such as the Trade Map and Export Potential platforms.

The representatives of ESA who attended the program were the CEO of ESA, Ms. Angelic Appoo and the Senior Business Development Officer, Mrs. Beryl Nagapin, and they were accompanied by two representatives from the Seychelles Trading Company (STC), Ms. Maryse Philoe and Mr. Ryan Omath.
