Enterprise Seychelles Agency
Enterprise Seychelles Agency is mandated to implement policies and strategies of Government relating to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and to provide them with the necessary services and support.
As per the Enterprise Seychelles Agency Act, 2018, MSME is defined as follows:
“Micro Enterprise” means an enterprise which has an annual sales turnover not more than 2 million Seychelles Rupees and not more than 5 employees;
“Small Enterprise” means an enterprise which has an annual sales turnover above 2 million Seychelles Rupees, but not more than 10 million Seychelles Rupees and not more than 15 employees; and
“Medium Enterprise” means an enterprise which has an annual sales turnover above 10 million Seychelles Rupees, but not exceeding 25 million Seychelles Rupees and not exceeding 50 employees.
“Start-up enterprise” means any entrepreneurship venture up to one year from its inception.
OUR MISSION:
To provide the foundations for enhancement of entrepreneurs and to support the expansion and growth of of micro, small and medium enterprises.
FUNCTIONS OF THE AGENCY:
a. To manage immovable property belonging to the Agency;
b. To manage and lease out sales outlets on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Agency;
c. To advise the Minister on pertinent issues affecting MSMEs;
d. To operate a registration scheme for all MSMEs;
e. To provide general and specialized business development services to MSMEs;
f. To provide training, promotion and marketing services to MSMEs; and
g. To consult and in collaboration with any Government bodies to strengthen partnerships of service providers, facilitate access to raw materials, technology and other products, source training opportunities, facilitate international market access and promote a gender balanced entrepreneurship culture.
