What is the Seed Capital Grant Scheme?

The Seed Capital Grant Scheme was first introduced in 2016 to provide seed capital of up to SCR 50,000 to fund small start-up businesses to assist them in their early stages of development.

Following the entering into of relevant agreements between the Development Bank of Seychelles (DBS), the Small Business Finance Agency and the Government of Seychelles, DBS would like to inform the members of the public and existing clients of the Small Business Finance Agency (SBFA) that it is managing the Small Business Finance Agency Fund

Clients of SBFA are informed that they can contact DBS for the repayment of any loans that they had outstanding with SBFA at the address below. In addition, DBS will discharge pledges for loans that are fully repaid In line with the Agreement entered into with the Government. The Seychelles Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Programmme (SEEREP) is a subsised loan designed to help households and Small – Medium Enterprises (SMEs) access capital to make their house or businesses more energy efficient and invest in Renewable Energy Technologies (RET)
Applicants can borrow up to SCR150,000 at a low 5% interest rate over a period of 5 years. Loan above SCR 75,000 are subject to a personal contribution of 2.5%.

The Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) was introduced to finance the development of small and medium sized agricultural and horticultural development in Seychelles, particularly in terms of food security.
The loan scheme serves to facilitate provision of funding for extension of agricultural projects.

The Seychelles Credit Union offers its Members SME Loans on behalf of the Government at attractive interest rates and flexible repayment terms.
