COVID-19 Preparedness and Awareness Training Organized by ESA

Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Department of Industry & Entrepreneurship Development (DoIED), organized a training on COVID-19 Preparedness and Awareness for participants from the business community who have not yet benefited with the various training sessions being organized by different organizations, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, retailers, manufacturers and caterers.

The training was organized to compliment the formidable efforts by the Department of Health and other stakeholders to raise more awareness and provide support to the business community with regards to the implementation and monitoring of the public health measures that is required to be in place before the re-opening of Seychelles to commercial flights.

The CEO of ESA, Ms. Angelic Appoo during her opening remarks stated that, “the aim of the training is to educate you further on the health and safety guidelines and make you understand the consequences it can pose if you do not make an effort to implement the guidelines you have been hearing for the past few months. Additionally, the team of facilitators will gear you towards developing and implementing new standard operating procedures for your business. Now more than ever, it is important to re-engineer your existing operating procedures to adapt to the new climate we are in”. The participants were urged to share and implement the relevant information that they gather at the training with their employees, colleagues, families and all concerned to help with the continuous battle to prevent the spread of the pandemic in Seychelles.

The training was held on Friday 31st July, 2020 in the ICCS Auditorium and it attracted over 66 participants. ESA aims to conduct more training of this genre for the remaining sectors of the business community.
