ESA Updated On The Upcoming Changes To The Food Act & Regulations

ENTERPRISE SEYCHELLES AGENCY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT IS UPDATED ON THE UPCOMING CHANGES TO THE FOOD ACT AND FOOD REGULATIONS

Mr. Christopher Hoareau from the Seychelles Bureau of Standards and Mrs. Naomi Laurence from the Public Health Authority delivered a presentation to a group of staff from the Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA) and Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development (DoIED) to educate them on the upcoming amendments to the Food Act and the related Regulations.

The group was apprised of the various aspects of food safety, food transportation and storage facilities which the entrepreneurs handling food preparation shall comply with. The information relayed are useful as it will help the staff to properly advise the entrepreneurs in the daily aspects of their work.

The Principal Secretary of the Department, Ms. Angelique Antat and the Chief Executive Officer of ESA, Ms. Angelic Appoo was also in attendance at the presentation which was held at ESA Head Office at Camion Hall, Victoria on Tuesday 12th March.
