Seychelles saw its first participation in the International African Textile Fair (SITA) in Equatorial Guinea, represented by a delegation of 2 stylists, 7 models and 2 representatives of the Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA). The event was a great opportunity for our local talent to gain exposure on the intentional scene, allowing them to gain confidence on the catwalk & allowing our stylist to showcase their textile products such as dresses, shirts, pants to the African Market.

The 6th edition of SITA was organized for the first time in Equatorial Guinea and held from January 24th to 26th, under the theme: “African textile industry; inventory and development strategies”. SITA, is intended to be a space for promoting African textiles. According to the organizers, the objective is to create more added value, wealth and jobs in this promising sector for the economy of many African countries. The fair consisted of different events such as exhibition and sale of products from African textiles, fashion show, conferences and the Cotton Night.
