ESA conducts its second Facial Mask Sewing Course

A second Facial Mask Sewing Course has been organized for a group of 7 participants who expressed their great interest in gaining this new skill. The training which started on Monday 7th September is being held for two days at SIDOL at Mont Fleuri.

The objectives of the facial mask sewing course are:

  • To inform about the standards and requirements of “How”, “Why” and “When” to use a mask onboard public transportation during this new normal;
  • To teach and share knowledge in benefit of the finished products;
  • To offer skills to workers or identified groups of people with such needs in effect of the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • To offer re-skilling services to redundant candidates.

The participants were eager to learn from the three facilitators; Mrs. Brenda Lepathy for the practical sewing training, Mrs. Tina Hoareau for relevant information in regards to the health and safety standards for quality of masks and Mr. Peter Roselie about the pricing strategy and to give financial tips.

The Agency invites other individuals who wishes to participate in any of its trainings to contact the office on 4289050 to register your name as the training sessions are being conducted with limited capacity in order to comply with health guidelines.
