Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA) organized two training sessions in the past two weeks whereby more MSMEs benefitted with the COVID-19 Preparedness and Awareness Training and a training in Basic Sewing Skills.
ESA in collaboration with the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Department of Health, organized its second training on COVID-19 Preparedness and Awareness on Friday 2nd October, 2020 at the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education auditorium. The aim of the training was to ensure continuity of the Covid-19 preparedness and awareness program and also compliment the ongoing efforts of the Department of Health and other stakeholders involved in raising awareness and providing support to the business community with regards to the implementation and monitoring of the public health measures that is required to be in place after the re-opening of Seychelles to commercial flights.
The target audience for the training was the local manufacturers in the domain of snack preparation, masala production, catering and agro processing. The presentations were delivered by representatives from Public Health Authority, Myra Bijoux and Brigitte Zelia and Mrs. Tina Hoareau from the Safety and Standards Consultancy and Training Agency.
From 5th to 9th October, 2020, the Agency organized another practical training in basic sewing whereby 13 participants gained new sewing skills. The training was held at SIDOL at Mont Fleuri and the training was an addition to the facial mask sewing courses which were organized by the Agency. Mrs. Brenda Lepathy was the facilitator for the training.
