On Friday 30th September 2019, the Vice-President visited three MSMEs in the North Region accompanied by representatives of ESA and the Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.
The first visit was at Mr. and Mrs. Payet’s residence whereby they showcased some or their locally hand made wood carvings, jewellery and accessories. The second visit was conducted at Zil Lokal at Ms. Veronique Lanza’s residence whereby the Vice-President saw locally hand made jewellery from recycled materials. The last visit was at Mr. Maurice Lavigne’s laundry service. Mr. Lavigne employs only Seychellois and he was a successful applicant of the Seed Capital Grant in 2017.
The visits, which are conducted every 2 months, are means of promoting the entrepreneurs and ensuring that the aftercare services are provided to help them grow.
